“You want me to what?” A red haired woman asked.

Chris scratched the back of his head and mentally cringed. “Pretend to be my girlfriend for my brother’s wedding.” He said.

“Chris, I’m flattered, really I am but I’m not sure I’m the right girl for the job. Plus won’t your family see right through that?” She asked.

“That’s the beauty of it, they will be so wrapped up in the wedding, they won’t read too much into it.” Chris said with a grin.

Audrie however believed he was so very wrong about that. Parents noticed everything, not that she knew what having a parent was like. Basically it was going to be a Spanish Inquisition, regardless if a wedding was going on.

“Audrie pleaseee,” he pleaded trying out the puppy eyes.. “They’ll try and set me up, you’re my only hope.”

Audrie groaned, he was really being pathetic and she could never turn away from a lost cause. “Fine.! Fine, but you owe me big time mister.” She informed him poking him in the chest.

Chris grinned, making a triumph expression and kissed her on the cheek.

“You are a dork.” Audrie said shaking her head. “Okay, you come by my place tonight and we’ll work on a game plan for this. How long have we apparently been dating?”

“A week,” he answered.

“Ah, well, that makes things easier.” Audrie muttered under her breath. “Okay well you skidattle, I have to work.”

Chris saluted and hurried his way out.

Audrie sighed, she couldn’t believe that she would be doing this, she had managed to find an appropriate dress, she had met Chris’s family who were all wonderful and thankfully her worries were unfounded especially when Chris threw in they only started dating. It was a relief off her shoulders.

At least until Wyatt’s wedding. She was dressed in a comfortable green grecian dress which she had been told was appropriate Audrie had just finished putting the final touches to her hair which was curled.

She heard a knock and was running around her apartment in slippers. “Coming!” She exclaimed before she made it to the door. There on time was Chris. Audrie opened the door.

“Is that what you’re wearing?” He asked as far as he could see, Audrie was wearing a pair of pink fluffy slippers and pink fluffy housecoat.

“No I have better manner than that Christopher Halliwell,” she said before punching him in the shoulder.

“Ow!” He exclaimed. “What are you, benchpressing now?”

“I never knew boys were such whimps. Come in, I need to grab my shoes out of my room.” She said before hurrying to her own bedroom and tossed the housecoat on the bed before kicking off her houseshoes and put on a pair loubatons. She grabbed a purse that went with the outfit and hurried out of the bedroom.

Chris was surprised when he saw her come from her room, he hadn’t expected, his eyes lingered on her legs that the dress displayed her nice long legs.

His eyes snapped back up to her face, Audrie couldn’t help the laughter that bubbled up..
